Zaria Whitfield: Diving Into Her Future
With a passion for marine biology and plans to attend the College of Coastal Georgia, Zaria is preparing for an exciting academic journey rooted in curiosity, courage, and care for the natural world. Her interest in marine life runs deep, and she is eager to study the ecosystems, species, and underwater environments that have inspired her since childhood. Odyssey played an inspiring role in helping her feel ready for this next chapter.
Odyssey as a Launchpad for Confidence and Readiness
Zaria describes her Odyssey experience as both meaningful and motivating. The program gave her valuable preparation for her college applications and helped her build the confidence she needs to take her next steps. Odyssey provided guidance, structure, and encouragement at exactly the right time, and Zaria left feeling excited for the journey ahead.
“Odyssey prepared me for my college journey and reminded me that I’m capable of achieving everything I’m working for.”

As a four-year member of her high school swim team, she has built strong teamwork skills while maintaining a solid academic record with consistent A’s and B’s. Her balance of athletic dedication and academic commitment shows her ability to excel in multiple areas at once.
A Bright Future in Marine Biology
Zaria’s journey is just beginning, but her vision is clear. She dreams of studying marine ecosystems, working hands-on in the field, and contributing to the protection of ocean life. With her discipline, passion, and curiosity, she is already well on her way. Odyssey is proud to have supported her during this important moment in her life. Zaria is diving into her future with purpose, and the world beneath the waves is waiting for her.
